We begin with an hour drive to our base camp on the Papagayo River. It is a scenic drive and you will witness true topical mountain beauty as we travel.

When we arrive at the river base the river guides will give you instructions for river safety and equipment usage information. You will be outfitted with a helmet and life vest.

We will leave the base and drive 5 miles upriver where the journey begins. We encourage you to watch our video to the left. The river maintains a pretty steady pace of small rapids, you are sure to have lots of fun and you will get wet. This is a perfect family adventure.

When we make landfall at the base you will have the oportunity to freshen up and we will enjoy lunch overlooking the river. We promise you a safe and exciting adventure and are pleased that you have chosen Intersol Tours. Bienvenidos a Acapulco !!

  • Special Note: Sandals, shorts (Bathing suit),sunscreen, towel and change of clothes is recommended. Eat a good breakfast before this journey, you will need your energy. Pregnant women, persons with back, neck or health problems may not attend.
